Funeral arrangements for Jonathan Peden

Jonathan Peden, the man who died as the result of a workplace accident in Lurgan yesterday (Thursday, August 11) will be laid to rest on Monday.

Mr Peden was the dearly loved husband of Roisin, the couple had only married last month.

He was the stepfather to Laura and Shane, beloved son of Geoffrey and Sandra and dear brother of Andrew and Adam.

The Funeral will take place from his parents' home 18 Baird Avenue Donaghcloney on Monday 15th at 12.30pm for service in Donaghcloney Elim at 1pm followed by interment in Donacloney Presbyterian Graveyard.

Family flowers only please. Donations if desired may be made for Craigavon City Park Run c/o Malcomsons Funeral Service 7 Robert Street Lurgan BT66 8BE. (Cheques made payable to Malcomsons Donation Account Please).

Deeply regretted by his sorrowing wife, stepchildren, father, mother, brothers, sisters-in-law, niece Daisy and family circle.

Earlier today (Friday) organisers of the City Park Run in Craigavon announced the postponement of their birthday celebration due to take place on Saturday.

In a statement they said: "As a mark of respect to the Peden family we will not be having our birthday party tomorrow.

"We would ask that as many as possible of you wear a black running vest or tee shirt to show your own support for Roisin and the other members of the Peden family at this tragic time.

"However the party is not cancelled, just postponed, and we do hope to have a proper party before the end of the month. If you have already baked something then bring it along and we can donate it to a local charity in Jonny's memory."
