The Southern Health and Social Care Trust currently need foster carers for children and young people.
Fostering is about caring for children who are unable to live at home for various reasons. Foster carers are ordinary people from all types of family situations.
The Trust is hosting a free Foster Care information evening on Wednesday 24 September at 7pm in Tesco’s supermarket on the Belfast Road in Newry.
Paul Morgan, Director of Children and Young People’s Services at the Southern Trust, said: “The Southern Trust has over 400 foster carers. We are always seeking to recruit new foster carers and welcome new applications.
“We need foster carers to look after children of all ages and backgrounds but at the moment would particularly like to recruit more carers for older children and teenagers.
