Footie fundraiser for the NSPCC

THE NSPCC Banbridge fundraising committee have organised a family fun day and football tournament to help raise vital funds for local vulnerable children and young people.

The event will be held in Banbridge football club on Sunday March 7 from 2pm. A number of fun activities have been organised including three magicians, balloon-modelling, face-painting and a fancy dress disco. Entrance for the fun day is 5 per child and free for adults.

NSPCC community fundraising manager, Karen Walker, said, “We are extremely grateful to Paula Chambers and her team for all their hard work in organising what promises to be a fantastic family event in aid of NSPCC.

Money raised through events like this help us to ensure that children and young people are better informed, better cared for and better protected.”

There are 12 teams taking part in the football tournament and through sponsorship they aim to raise as much money as possible for local NSPCC services.

Paula Chambers, chair of the fundraising committee, said, “We are hoping that local people will come along to support our football volunteers and enjoy a fun and memorable day out with all their family.

“We have a fantastic day planned with something for everyone. The girls can pretend to be royalty for a day at our ‘Princess’ hair and nail bar while the boys can enjoy the ‘Cool dude’ tattoo parlour or test their speed at the world of bounce assault course.”
