Five drivers caught travelling over 100mph in Portadown area

Five drivers were detected travelling ‘well in excess of 100mph’ by police in Portadown over the last few days.

According to the PSNI’’s Road policing unit: “Steady rainfall over the last few days has resulted in some challenging driving conditions all over the province yet some drivers still don’t get the message to slow down.

“Road Policing officers based in Portadown over the last few days have detected five drivers travelling well in excess of 100mph where clearly the speed limit and weather conditions dictate otherwise therefore putting themselves and other road users at risk.

“These drivers will now have an opportunity to explain their driving behaviour to the district judge. Catch a grip, and slow down!”
