Family womanwhose skills were in demand

She was the dearly loved wife of William and devoted mother of William and Philip.

Margaret was brought up in the Closkelt district, a well known family of the Burrows and after leaving school she came to Banbridge some 47 years ago and was employed in Edenderry Factory with Thomas Ferguson and Company.

Here her expertise were greatly appreciated and after her retirement they were greatly sought after.

She was a woman of great character and a cheery disposition.

Margaret loved her garden and enjoyed planting flowers. She was involved with the Banbridge V.I.P. Club and was a member of Seapatrick Parish Church and previously in her days in Closkelt she attended worship in Closkelt Presbyterian Church.

Her main interest however was centred around her home and family and it is there that her passing will be mostly felt.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, daughter-in-law Janine, grandchildren Ellie, Jessica and Lila, brothers Junior, David and Sidney, sisters Patsy and Shirley. To these and all other relatives sincere sympathy has been extended.

The funeral took place from her home 2 Granville Gardens, Banbridge for service in Holy Trinity Parish Church on Sunday, October 12 at which her minister Archdeacon Roderic West, who was assisted by the Rev. Rosie Diffin, paid a fitting tribute to Margaret’s life.

The hymns ‘What a Friend We Have in Jesus’ and ‘The Old Rugged Cross’ were sung.

Mr Roly Anketel presided at the organ.

The interment took place afterwards in the New Cemetery.

Family flowers were placed on the grave and donations in lieu are being sent to William Bell and Co. Funeral Directors, 23 Kenlis Street, Banbridge, BT32 3LR for Holy Trinity Parish Church and Banbridge V.I.P. Club (Cheques made payable to William Bell and Co.)

William Bell and Co. had charge of the funeral arrangements.
