Fahan Canon dies
Members of the Diocese of Derry and Raphoe say they are greatly saddened to learn of the death of Canon Samuel Barton, the Rector of the Fahan Group of Parishes who died today, Friday, May 2.
His remains will be waked at the Rectory in Buncrana from this afternoon.
The Funeral will leave the Rectory at 3.30pm for a Service in Christ Church Buncrana on Sunday, May 4, at 4pm, followed by the interment in St Mura’s graveyard Fahan.
“We remember Sandra, Niall and all the family in our prayers and extend our deepest sympathy at this time,” a spokesman for the Diocese said.
