Dobson’s praise for council eCar decision

Commenting Mrs Dobson said: “The ecar project is one which can deliver long-term economic benefits to the District. Even though we are in stringent economic circumstances it is necessary that we continue to plan for the future. I have been approached by numerous local businesses who were keen to avail of the opportunities which this project provides and they, like me will welcome the Councils decision.

“I was pleased to facilitate meetings between Council Officials and officials from the Department for Regional Development to discuss the benefits which this project could bring to the district and also to bring an ecar to Banbridge at the end of October to demonstrate its capabilities and potential.

“I again welcome the decision of the Council and look forward to that potential, both in tourism and business growth being fully recognised.”
