Early Christmas present for residents

The young and the not so young of Lissize enjoyed an early Christmas present when members of Lissize Community Association delivered Christmas hampers and small selection boxes.

The group played Santa to elderly residents in the estate presenting some 40 hampers packed with Christmas treats. They didn’t leave the area’s children off their list when they brought 45 very excited children Christmas selection boxes to enjoy.

One local resident who was so delighted with the hamper said: “The hamper is a lovely thought by the Community Association. The delivery to my door has made Christmas 2013 a bit more special and I’m looking forward to tucking into the treats.”

Maxi Beale, Chair of Lissize Community Association, commented: “We’ve had a great afternoon delivering the hampers and selection boxes. Christmas can be a lonely time for many and this small token of appreciation particularly to the older members of our community helps reiterate how much they are valued.

“I’d like to thank the members of the Community Association who helped and the Housing Executive for their support.”
