Drumbeg WI enjoy laughter and games

December’s meeting of Drumbeg WI began with congratulations when President Olive Palmer expressed best wishes to Margaret Clegg on becoming the granny of twins.

The WI quiz was held, with Rosemary Reid and Ann Simpson tying first and Hazel Ervine and Barbara Huss tying second.

Rosalind Bloomfield then gave a report on the recent ACWW meeting. This was followed by Sheelagh McRandal distributing forms regarding the Attitudinal Access to Public Transport Survey and encouraging everyone to take part.

Members Ann Simpson, Margaret Jordan, Anne McAdam and Elizabeth Fleming then entertained everyone with a very funny sketch. Dressed as nuns they mimed to various unlikely songs and had everyone laughing right the way through.

The sales table raised £100 and the competition for a Christmas ornament was won by Hazel Ervine.

The meeting was brought to a close with the president wishing everyone a Happy Christmas and the singing of the Countrywoman’s Song.
