The Academy, which has been funded by the Department for Employment and Learning’s Assured Skills Programme, trained the graduates on an eight-week course focusing on the skills essential to secure a graduate role to work in PwC’s new and growing Data Analytics team.

Jonathan received his award at a ceremony in PwC’s central Belfast offices, where Employment and Learning Minister Dr Stephen Farry congratulated those completing the Academy.

“Once again the Academy model has proved successful and is an excellent example of how my department supports graduates in finding employment,” he said.

The ceremony was attended by Academy trainees and their guests, along with representatives from Belfast Metropolitan College and PwC.

Dr Jonathan Heggarty, Head of School, Computing and Electronic Technologies at Belfast Metropolitan College congratulated all involved.

“The Academy style approach is very effective,” he said, “and we are sure all of our graduates will have a successful career ahead of them”.
