ON Saturday Dromore Fourths played at home to Coleraine Thirds.

The game opened well with Dromore having most of the possession. Dromore’s Ruth Ravey capitalised on this as she opened the score sheet for the home side.

Coleraine fought back well but were unable to score as the Dromore side stood strong.

Dromore once again were on the attack with Jenny Moore finding an opening in the middle of the pitch to slip the ball threw to Katie Pepper who slotted the ball into the back of the net.

They continued to put pressure on the Coleraine defence and managed to put the ball in the Coleraine net once more with Ruth Ravey getting her second goal of the match.

At half time it was 3-0 to Dromore. As the second half got underway Coleraine looked like they might pull a goal back but their attack was broken down by Rebecca Martin, Cheryl Jenkins, Nicola Annett and Claire Morton who were all doing a fantastic job in defence retaining the ball and spreading it wide to the midfield to counter attack.

Dromore had many chances half way through the second half with Amber Mulholland getting her first goal of the match. This gave Dromore a secure lead.

Katie Pepper picked up a loose ball and weaved her way into the circle and calmly picked her spot to put the ball into the back of the net.

Dromore won a penalty corner late into the second half with Chloe Glover getting her first goal of the match. In the last five minutes of the game Katie Pepper scored her hat-trick with a well struck shot.

The last goal of the match was scored by Chloe Glover which gave Dromore an 8-0 victory. Well done to both teams. Player of the match was Cheryl Jenkins.
