Christopher Robert Wilson (28), Blackskull Road, Dromore, was banned from driving for three months last Thursday at Banbridge Magistrates Court.

He was also fined £250 for not having insurance and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy. For not having a licence he was fined £250 and given a concurrent three month ban. The court heard that on February 3 this year at 9.10am Wilson, who was driving a tractor, was involved in an accident.

It transpired his licence had expired due to a previous disqualification and he had never re-applied for it.

A solicitor representing Wilson said the accident was not his fault.

She added that he was under the impression he was insured but because he did not have a licence any insurance would be invalid.
