Driver of accident lorry sought

Police in Newry are appealing for the driver of a lorry who was involved in a road traffic collision with a cyclist on the A1, a few weeks ago, to come forward.

The accident occurred around 10.50pm, July 3. A passer by came across the male cyclist who sustained injuries following the crash on the A1 between Newry and Banbridge.

Constable Stephen Cunningham explained: “The 21 year old cyclist sustained injuries to his leg which required medical treatment. We are asking the driver of the lorry to contact us. We would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision. We can be contacted in Newry on 101, quoting ref: 1408 030715.”
