Dogs abandoned in car park

Police in Banbridge have said that the seven dogs that were abandoned in a car park on the Banbridge Road, Dromore, last week have returned to their owner.

They said that the incident has been reported to the dog warden who they said will be following up the case.

The dogs were discovered, last Sunday morning in a car park after thye had been left in a car after a number of hours. Police were forced to break the window of the Toyota Yaris car they were in to release them, which weres two adult dogs and five pups.

They said that a 25-year-old woman was interviewed for causing animals unnecessary suffering and a report forwarded to the PPS.
