“It was great to accompany Guild members on their tour of Parliament Buildings which showcased the Assembly and Senate Chambers and the Great Hall.

“I know for many it was their first time at Stormont, while for others it was a return visit and I am glad that it formed part of what was a very busy and interesting day for them all.”

Mrs Dobson added:“Our thoughts were with two long-standing Banbridge members who for different reasons were not able to join us – they remain in my thoughts and prayers.

“As an MLA it is always a privilege to be able to host local people on a visit to Stormont as it is useful for everyone to learn about the work of the devolved Assembly in Northern Ireland.”
