Deaths in the local community

The death took place on March 2, peacefully at Lough Neagh Nursing Home, of Ethel Florence Dickson of Princeton Drive, Lurgan.

She was the wife of the late William John, mother of Carole, Elizabeth, John, Rosemary, Jennifer, Vanessa, Roberta and Paul.

Her funeral was on Friday in Hill Street Presbyterian Church followed by burial in Lurgan Cemetery.

Rita McDonald

The death took place on March 3, peacefully at Craigavon Hospital, of Margarita Patricia Bernadette (Rita) McDonald (nee Higgins), of Soye Crescent.

She was the wife of Gerry, and mother of Connor and the late Paula.

Her funeral was on Thursday to St Peter’s Church followed by interment at St Colman’s Cemetery.

Jim Berger

On March 8, James (Jim) Berger, died peacefully at home at Princes Close, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Sheila and step-father of Martin and Jacqueline.

His funeral was on Monday from his late residence to St Peter’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Teresa Scullion

The death took place peacefully at home of Teresa Scullion (nee Duff) of Lurgan Tarry on March 9.

She was the wife of Patsy and mother of Maureen and Michael and the late David.

Her funeral was on Wednesday to St Peter’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.
