Deaths in the local community

The death occurred of Joseph (Joe) English peacefully at his home in Waringstown on October 31.

Joe was the beloved husband of Margaret and much loved father of Catherine, Dorothy and the late Roy.

His funeral service will be at Lurgan Elim Church on Thursday at 1pm followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sorrowing wife, daughters, son-in-law Paul, daughter-in-law Gwen, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and family circle.

Ena Hancock

Ena Hancock of Lime Grove, Lurgan has passed away at hospital on October 31.

She was the beloved wife of the late William (Billy) and dearly loved mother of Hilda, Heather, Paula and Mark.

Her funeral service will be at First Lurgan Presbyterian Church on Thursday 3rd November at 12 Noon followed by interment in Lurgan Cemetery.

Mary McMahon (née McDonald)

The death has occurred of Mary McMahon from Lurgan peacefully at the Southern Area Hospice in Newry on October 30.

Mary was the dearly beloved wife of the late Patsy, Manor Drive, Lurgan and much loved mother of Martin, Angela and Rochelle, beloved mother-in-law of Jackie, Diarmuid and Connor, and a much loved granny, and beloved sister of Lucy Headley,

Her funeral is on Wednesday (November 2) at 9.30am from her late residence to St Paul’s Church for 10am Requiem Mass, Interment afterwards in St Colman’s Cemetery,

Her passing is very deeply regretted by her loving son, daughters, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, sister and entire family circle,

No flowers, however, donations in lieu if desired can be sent to Southern Area Hospice Newry or Marie Curie Nurses, c/o Jack McLearnon & Son.

Tony Brown

Tony Brown (Craigavon) passed away on October 28th peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital,

Tony was the dearly beloved husband of Teresa, 126 Garrymore, Craigavon and much loved father of Jennifer and Robert, beloved father-in-law of Ray and loving grandad of Conor, James, Matthew and Isabelle, and beloved brother of Maureen and Anita,

His funeral was on Monday to St John’s Church Lylo.

His passing is very deeply regretted by his loving wife, daughter, son, son-in-law, grandchildren, sisters and entire family circle,

Stella Devine (née McReynolds)

Stella Devine from Lurgan passed away peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on October 28.

Mrs Devine was the dearly beloved wife of Brian, Manor Park,

Her funeral was on Sunday to St Paul’s Church with interment afterwards in St Colman’s Cemetery,

Her passing is very deeply regretted by her loving husband, mother-in-law, and entire family circle.

Monica (Mona) Gordon (née McGeown)

The death has occurred of Mona Gordon from Lurgan and formerly of Ballinary Road North on October 26, peacefully at home.

Mona was the beloved wife of the late Seamus, mother of Daniel, Mary, Seamus, Eamon, Anne, John, Thomas and the late Joe and Siobhan, a much loved granny and dear sister of Nora, Joe, Assumpta, Raymond and the late Henry, Josie, Anna and John.

Her funeral was from her home at Castor Bay Road to St Peter’s Church, with burial afterwards in St Colman’s.

She will be sadly missed by her sorrowing sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and entire family circle.
