Deaths in the community

The death took place at hospital on August 17 of Gary Noel Townsley, infant son of Gary and Joanne, 59 Clarendon Park, Magheralin.

He was the brother of Nathan, Jordan, Jamie-Lee, Dylan and baby twin sister Kerri.

His funeral was on Thursday from his home to Magheralin Parish Churchyard.

Margaret Veronica Crothers

The death took place peacefully at hospital on August 18 of Margaret Veronica (Maggie) Crothers, wife of the late Terence, Cambrai Drive, Waringstown.

She was the mother of Terence, Jean, Irvine and Irene.

Her funeral service was on Saturday in Joseph Poots Funeral Home, Portadown, followed by interment in Kernan Cemetery.

John Greer

The death took place suddenly on August 18 of John Greer, 8 Woodville Heights, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Dymphna and father of Abigail, Blathnaid and Jonathan.

His funeral was on Saturday to St Paul’s Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Mary Breen

Mary Breen, daughter of Nora and the late Denis, 76 Kilwilke Road, Lurgan, died peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on August 19.

She was the sister of Anne, Patrick and Denis.

Her funeral was on Saturday to St Peter’s Temporary Church followed by interment in St Colman’s Cemetery.

Seamus McKavanagh

The death took place suddenly at Craigavon Area Hospital on August 19 of Seamus McKavanagh, 86 Castor Bay Road, Lurgan.

He was the husband of Dymphna and father of Anne, Padraig, Ciaran and Mary.

Muriel McShane

The death took place peacefully at Newry Hospice on August 20 of Muriel McShane, 5 Larkfield Square, Lurgan.

She was the mother of Karen and Tanya and sister of Anne, Margaret and Tommy.

Her funeral was on Sunday from her home to Lurgan Cemetery.

Leo McAlinden

The death took place peacefully at Craigavon Area Hospital on August 20 of Leo McAlinden, 17 Ennis Close, Lurgan, and formerly of Ballinamoney Cottages, Derrymacash.

He was the son of the late James and Margaret, stepson of Mary and brother of Rose, Gerald, Sheila, Noel, Dessie, Patricia, Angela, Kieran, Jacqueline and the late John, Patrick, Frank and Mary.

His funeral was on Monday to St Patrick’s Church, Derrymacash, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
