LONDONDERRY’S council office will be lit up purple and yellow throughout May in support of Cruse Bereavement Care which supports anyone who has been bereaved by death, no matter what the cause.

Peter Heaney, Chairperson of Foyle Cruse said: “We are highlighting our service during the month of May and in particular our Footprints walk which will be held on Saturday, May 19.

“We are very grateful to Derry City Council for supporting us in this endeavour by lighting their Civic Offices in our organisation’s colours throughout the month.

“In March, we celebrated our very own CYP volunteer, Therese Melaugh, who was selected as the ‘Cruse volunteer of the Year’ by delegates from all over Northern Ireland. To be selected by your own peers is a marvellous achievement, and we are extremely proud of Therese.”

The organisation is organising a walk this Saturday, May 19 - anyone wishing to take part is asked to contact their office on 02871 262941 and requesting a registration pack.
