Dangerous driving charge

A 19 year old Gilford man has appeared in court charged with causing grievous bodily injury to another man by dangerous driving.

Christopher Poots appeared before District Judge Mr Paul Copeland last Thursday. The offence allegedly occurred on 1 July at Newry Street, Banbridge.

He was formally connected to the charge by a PSNI constable.

A PPS prosecutor told the court that a full file was being required and the case was adjourned for four weeks.Bail was fixed at £750 with a condition that Poots does not make any direct or indirect contact with three different males.
