The 20 bikes available for hire were each marked and registered by the police Crime Prevention Officer assisted by Officers from the PSNI Banbridge & Gilford Neighbourhood Team.

Chairman of Banbridge District Council, Councillor Marie Hamilton, commented, “The new cycle hire facility offers an opportunity for everyone to enjoy cycling and experience the fresh air and all the fitness benefits cycling has to offer. We would encourage members of the public to take up this opportunity and give cycling a go.”

Banbridge & Gilford Neighbourhood Officers also undertook free bike marking and registration at Banbridge Leisure centre on Saturday October 4.
