‘You have some rack’ man told woman after pulling her t-shirt down

A 49-year-old man who pulled down a woman’s T-shirt exposing her breasts will be sentenced next month at Banbridge Magistrates Court.

Robert Beattie, Hillcrest Villas, Gilford, admitted that on July 17 this year he intentionally touched a female and that the touching was sexual and she did not consent to it.

The court heard the injured party was approached by the defendant who pulled her T-shirt down and said: “You have some rack on you.”

He then asked her up to his house. This was all done in the presence of a 10-year-old boy. Beattie was arrested and claimed he had pulled her top down as a bit of fun. He admitted pulling the top down and exposing the victim’s breasts.

Deputy District Judge Laura Ivers adjourned the case until November 5 so that a pre-sentence report could be obtained.
