Woman’s pension stolen during break-in

AN elderly woman was robbed of her pension as she lay in bed in her Kenlis Place home last night.

The pensioner was woken by two burglars who broke through her front door at around 10pm on Thursday.

The great-grandmother was left badly shaken after the incident. The woman said she believed the men may have been looking for a different address when they broke into her home.

The burglars are described as being approximately 5ft 8in tall, aged in their 30s with a thin build and wearing dark clothing with their hoods up.

Police investigating the aggravated burglary would like to speak to anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area.
