Warning over theft of manhole covers
POLICE in Banbridge are warning that the theft of gratings and manhole covers could place the lives of road users and pedestrians at risk.
On Saturday morning, 12 November, it was reported that a grating had been taken from Downshire Road.
Neighbourhood Inspector Jacqueline Gillespie said: “The theft of manhole covers and gratings is reckless and those involved have no regard for the consequences of their actions. Anyone who has information in relation to these thefts to contact police in Banbridge on 0845 600 8000.
