Elias admitted stealing meat and poultry valued at £80 from Iceland on February 9 this year and further thefts of similar items worth £20, £5 and £45 from the same store on February 10, 11 and 12.

He is also accused of the theft of three bottles of perfume valued at £159 from Debenhams on May 24 and stealing meat worth £33.11 from Sainsbury’s on May 31.

The case was adjourned until December 14 so that a pre-sentence report could be obtained.
