When police searched the home of a 45-year-old man they found a quantity of heroin, Banbridge Magistrates Court heard last Thursday.
Roderick Campbell Harvey, Reilly Park, Banbridge, admitted possession of a class A drug on October 21 last year.
He was given a conditional discharge for two years.
The court heard when police searched the defendant’s home they found powder in a glasses case. Harvey admitted it was his.
A barrister representing the defendant said he had issues with drugs but was now receiving treatment.
Imposing the conditional discharge Deputy District Judge, Mr John Connolly, said he would take into account the defendant’s early plea and the fact he was voluntarily attending addiction services.
