Remanded in custody for riot charge

A Portadown man has been remanded in custody charged with riotous assembly in the town on July 16.

Twenty seven year old Graham John Best, of Jervis Street, Portadown, appeared last Friday at Craigavon Magistrates Court by way of videolink from Maghaberry prison.

A solicitor for Best said bail had been refused at a court on Monday and had been put into last Friday’s list to seen if things calmed down in Portadown.
