Police appeal following assaults

POLICE in Banbridge are investigating two assaults in the early hours of Sunday February 26 which happened within half an hour of each other.

Firstly, at around 1am, a 32 year old man was assaulted by a group of males who then made off in a vehicle. The victim was wearing a blue denim shirt with a white line running through it, a dark blue jacket and blue jeans. He was punched around the head and fell to the ground. He sustained injuries to his face which required medical treatment.

Then, around 1.30am in Kenlis Street, a 52 year old male was assaulted by a number of males. He sustained injuries to his face and head which required medical treatment.
