Motorist gets driving ban
An uninsured driver stopped on the Moneymore dual carriageway has lost her licence for six months.
Deidre Higgins (44), of Queen’s Avenue, Magherafelt, was also fined £215 for having no insurance on July 16 last.
A prosecuting lawyer told Magherafelt Magistrates Court when police carried out a check of the vehicle it was discovered the defendant did not have a valid certificate of insurance.
A defence lawyer said defendant’s insurance had lapsed on June 28, and she was already serving a period of disqualification.
