Police have discovered a gun and ammunition at a home in Dungannon following a search and three arrests for suspected drugs offences.
Officers arrested two men, aged 23 and 25, and a 23-year-old woman following the stop and search of a car at Lambfield Drive on Monday evening (October 24).
All three have been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including possession of a class B drug, possession of a class B drug with intent to supply, concealing criminal property and driving whilst disqualified.
As a result of a follow up search in the Lambfield Drive area on Tuesday, October 25, police also recovered a suspected firearm and ammunition which has now been taken away for further forensic examination.
Last night, the two men and woman remained in custody and were assisting police with their enquiries.
