District Judge Michael Ranaghan had previously adjourned the case to obtain medical updates on the injured party and the defendant.

A PPS lawyer said the incident happened at 9.15am while a group of about nine cyclists were making their way along the Quarry Road, Dungannon. He said the injured party, who had been dragged by the car, sustained a broken clavicle.

A defence lawyer said the defendant was widow with a 55-year clear record who required her licence to maintain her independence.
