Councillor’s delight at station’s saving
OLIVE Mercer has welcomed the news of Dromore Police Station’s reprieve and has called on the townspeople to use the facility while they still have it.
“It has been a long and hard-fought campaign but this is great news and a massive relief,” said the Dromore UUP councillor.
“But now it is up to the community to support the Police and make sure that there is never a case for those who make the decisions to wield their axe again.
“A huge thanks should go to everyone who lent their support to the campaign to keep the petition open, whether it be through submitting letters or signing the petition.”
