Arrests made after reports of arson attacks


Police investigating two reported arson attacks in Banbridge have arrested two men aged 19 and 20.

The men were later released on bail pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for information following the report of an arson attack on a car parked at a house in the Brookfield Meadows area of Banbridge on the evening of Tuesday 8 March.

They are also investigating a second report of an arson attack on another car at the same property in the early hours of Wednesday 9 March.

Constable Stephen Higgins would ask anyone who was in the Brookfield area between 9.45pm on Tuesday 8 March and 3.30am on Wednesday 9 March and may have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously to contact police at Banbridge on the non-emergency number 101.
