Abduction

Detectives in Londonderry are appealing for information following a report of an abduction on the evening of Thursday, May 10.

At approximately 9.30pm, a 28-year-old man was walking in the Circular Road area of the city when a red car pulled up alongside him, a PSNI spokesman said.

“Three masked men pulled the man into the car and are believed to have took him to the top of the Springfield Road, near the Groarty Road junction. They beat him with a bat, then took him to Muff in Co Donegal where they abandoned him,” he said.

The man needed hospital treatment for his injuries which were not life threatening.
