Craic-ing good fun at St Patrick celebration

Solitude Park, Banbridge will be filled with fun, laughter and music on Saturday 18 March as Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council host their annual St Patrick's Family Fun Day.

Offering a plentiful pot of golden activities the free fun gets underway at 2pm and runs until 4pm with a host of live music, activities and entertainment guaranteed to get you in the mood for a sensational St Patrick’s party.

The live music kicks off with local group Parcel of Rogues bringing their own brand of fine foot tapping folk to the show.

After their fantastic performance at last year’s event the fabulous Nooks are back by popular demand and make a welcome return to the Solitude Park stage.

The Nooks have had a hectic schedule playing to packed houses all over Ireland and beyond.

Their Residency in the small village of Carlingford has created a haven for music lovers.

Their acoustic and unplugged show has been running for three years now and is as exciting and vibrant as it was when it began.

Famously playing everything from “hillbilly to hip-hop” Nooks style.

The Nooks now a five piece band are guaranteed to bring a unique blend of talent and charisma to any occasion.

Other activitiesat the St Patrick’s celebration include fun inflatables and amusement rides suitable for younger children, face painting, balloon modellers, arts and crafts workshops, giant garden games plus a wonderful woodland treasure hunt with a difference.

For those feeling a bit more adventurous why not join Banbridge Kayak and Canoe Club who will be making a splash with their ‘come and try’ taster sessions on the Bann.

Meet the unique unicycling laugh-a-minute Leprechaun and some of his fabulous friends including Tight-Fisted O’Lanaghan, who will be sure to have you craicing-up with their mischievous shenanigans.
