David Simpson, MP, has congratulated Bannside Presbyterian Church Craft Group after it raised £680 for Alzheimer’s Society.
Speaking about the group’s acgievement Mr Simpson said: “The Alzheimer’s Society provides a dedicated service to support and engage with those suffering with the disease.
“I want to congratulate all those within the Bannside Presbyterian Church Craft Group who organised a hugely successful Craft Fair and Coffee Morning prior to Christmas.
“A total of £680 was raised for the charity. Their efforts stand testament to the need for an improved level of Alzheimer’s support and it was an honour to meet with them recently at their fundraiser.”
He added: “Almost every family circle will have a loved one affected by the disease and it is vital that patients and their families are provided with the necessary care in order to improve their standard of life.
“As we begin 2015 I will build on my commitment to work with the relevant health authorities to ensure that everyone across our constituency receives the standard of care we deserve.”
