Council to give Hospice funding
Ballymena Council are to contribute £25,000 towards a new Hospice.
Approval was given at committee level last week on the proposal of Cllr Declan O’Loan, seconded by Cllr Jayne Dunlop, to a request for funding support from NI Hospice for the new premises at Sommerton Road in Belfast.
Councillors had agreed in November following a presentation on Hospice’s plans to make a contribution “of not less than £20,000” towards the development.
