Council is set to ‘Light it up Gold’

Banbridge District Council is set to ‘Light it up Gold’ this month in aid of CLIC Sargent for Children with Cancer.

Ms Stephanie Dale, Communications and Campaigning Administrator with CLIC Sargent recently asked for political support for Childhood Cancer Awareness month.

This was welcomed by Councillor Sheila McQuaid who said cancer is something that affects every family. Mrs McQuaid proposed the idea, seconded by Councillor David Herron. The council will participate in the ‘Light it up Gold’ campaign on Monday September 15 and gold ribbons will be made available for sale in the Civic Building reception area.
