Council app tells you what bin to put out

Banbridge District Council is supporting plans for Recycle Week, which runs from 16-22 June 21014, by encouraging all residents to become more efficient in managing their waste, and recycle more.

This year the central theme of Banbridge Recycle Week is efficient recycling.

Facilities within the district for recycling are many and widespread, however some confusion can occur when recycling at home.

To help address this issue the Council has launched its new innovative waste and recycling mobile app called “Bin-ovation”.

If you are unsure of what can or cannot be recycled simply download the app for around-the-clock help and advice on what items can be recycled.

The app, in addition to providing households with an easily accessible A to Z list of recyclables, also includes your personal bin collection schedule, and directions from your current location to the nearest community recycling point.

The app also includes a reminder system for one, or all of your bins, to ensure you don’t miss you collection day.
