Concern as cars damaged in Houston Park

A CRAIGAVON councillor has slammed those responsible for scraping a number of cars last weekend.

Some time between 6pm on Sunday, September 25, and 1pm on Monday, September 26, a black Renault Scenic and blue Suzuki SX4 were damaged in Houston Park, with crosses and letters scratched into them.

DUP councillor Carla Lockhart described the news as “alarming”.

“My understanding is that this was carried out in the early hours of the morning with residents wakening up on Monday morning to this horrific experience,” she said.

“This is a very alarming turn of events and one that I would utterly condemn.

“This type of activity is totally unacceptable and I would denounce the thugs who carried it out.”

She continued: “This is very stressful to those residents affected and a number of them have spoken to me about the cost of having this damage repaired.
