Community festival funding available

BANBRIDGE District Council’s Community Festivals Fund is now open to local community and voluntary groups who wish to seek financial support to organise a festival or event in their area between April and July this year.

The Community Festivals Fund is designed to support events that strengthen community relations, promote social cohesion and inclusion as well as ensure equality of opportunity. Events should also promote a positive image of the district as well as increase visitor numbers to the area.

A wide range of cultural, sporting, heritage and musical events or festivals are eligible for funding provided they are held within the district and applications come from formally constituted groups.
