The Sinn Féin Councillor said, “To not only maintain but also build upon last year’s successes is a major achievement and this year’s GCSE results place St Patrick’s significantly above the average for non-selective schools. This is no mean accomplishment and both pupils and staff deserve recognition for their academic attainment.

“Becoming one of the North’s top five non-selective schools does not happen by accident. Saint Patrick’s developed and implemented a planned programme with the specific aim of raising standards at every level and the excellence of their results is testimony to the success of that forward thinking.”
