College invites locals to its open days

The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise is inviting locals to go along to its Spring Open Days to find out about the careers and courses available in the agri-food and land-based sectors.

The open events will offer the opportunity to meet and talk to staff, tour the campus facilities and gain an insight into life and study at CAFRE.

“For those who like working with horses,” a spokesperson said, “the date for your diary is the Equine courses Open Day at Enniskillen Campus on Saturday 18 April at 12 noon at the College.”

Loughry Campus, Cookstown provides courses in Food Technology, Food Business Management, Food Design and Nutrition and Postgraduate courses in Business for Agri-food and Rural Enterprise.

The open day is on Tuesday 21 April, 4-9pm,

Greenmount Campus, Antrim is the key provider of courses in Agriculture, Horticulture, Land-based Technology, Floristry and Veterinary Nursing; the open day is on 22 April, 4-9pm.
