Citizens Advice flag day

BANBRIDGE Citizens Advice Bureau is holding a street collection on this Friday November 30.

The Bureau, in common with many other agencies, has experienced a considerable decrease in funding during the last year, at the same time as seeing an increase in demand for its service.

Charitable trusts and other funders of community and voluntary groups like Citizens Advice don’t have the same resources as before, and more voluntary groups are seeking funding from them; many of the larger funding bodies no longer fund advice provision, and our options are fast running out. Many people locally do not realize that Citizens Advice is a charity, and not a government organization.

All donations to the Bureau are gratefully accepted, and any local businesses who would wish to support the bureau’s valuable work for the clients of the Banbridge District are welcome to contact the office.
