And it has been revealed that part of The Outlet is set to become a dedicated food and beverage section.

Chris Nelmes, centre manager at The Outlet said, ‘The Outlet is undergoing a period of investment to re-invigorate the current offering.

“The corner where the brand new Omniplex is located will become a dedicated food and beverage section and we have wasted no time with work on a new McDonalds already underway.

“We look forward to engaging with the local community as further changes take place on site across leisure, food and beverage and retail.”

The arrival of the first ever Omniplex Cinema to Banbridge is part of a recent investment at the retail park by real-estate management firm Tristan Capital Partners and local company, The Lotus Group.

The brand new Omniplex Cinema signals that work aimed at enhancing the leisure and food and beverage offering at The OUTLET, is well underway.

The state of the art Omniplex Cinema marks a £4.5m investment to the area, creating 25 brand new full and part-time jobs.

Speaking on the new venture, NI operations director of the Omniplex Group, Paul John Anderson commented: “The opportunity to locate at The Outlet, during this exciting period of investment and development, posed the ideal time for us to finally break ground in Banbridge and continue the expansion of Omniplex Cinemas in Northern Ireland.

“Our state of the art Banbridge Omniplex boasts eight auditoriums including Northern Ireland’s first ever Omniplex MAXX screen with dual Sony 4K Projection resulting in 16.5 million pixels onscreen, standard auditoria boast two million pixels.

“The cinema is set to be one of the busiest in Northern Ireland throughout the remainder of 2016 with almost 6,000 blockbuster screenings scheduled.”

For families of children with autism, sensory screenings are also scheduled at weekends where lights are dimmed instead of turned off completely and sound levels are lowered to make for more comfortable viewing.”
