Detectives are appealing for information following a burglary in Donaghcloney.

Tuesday, 14th January 2014, 6:37 pm

At around 3.41am on Monday January 13 the premises at Main Street was broken into from the rear of the building and a quantity of cigarettes were taken.

It is believed four people, travelling in a dark coloured car, were involved.

Councillor Mark Baxter said he was shocked to hear of the incident.

“Not only is this a loss in terms of the actual theft for the business owner but the lost revenue from the shops closure while the police investigate the burglary is a very unwelcome consequence.

“Donaghcloney is a quiet rural village and obviously people will be disgusted by what has happened here.

“I would encourage anyone with any information to ring PSNI or Crimestoppers as soon as possible,” concluded Mr Baxter.

As a member of Craigavon of PCSP I will be raising this as a matter of urgency with Police Officers

Police are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to this incident to contact them in Craigavon on 0845 600 8000.

Alternatively members of the public can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
