Christmas tree refusal
A request for the provision of a Christmas tree at Hillside Crescent and Cline Road, Banbridge, by Councillor Barr, has been refused on the grounds that the location of trees for 2014 has been agreed.
The Director of Environmental Services said that to organise additional trees would pose a cost and time challenge.
It was further felt the move could cause divisions within communities and result in a multitude of similar size settlements and estates also requesting a tree.
