THE international award-winning musical Chicago, starring Ali Bastian as Roxie Hart, Stefan Booth as Billy Flynn, Tupele Dorgu as Velma Kelly and Bernie Nolan as Mama Morton, will be dazzling Grand Opera House audiences this week.
Based on real-life events back in the roaring 1920s, the nightclub singer Roxie Hart shoots her lover and along with cell block rival, double-murderess Velma Kelly, they fight to keep off ‘death row’ with the help of smooth-talking lawyer, Billy flynn.
Created by the musical theatre talents of John Kander, Fred Ebb and legendary choreographer Bob Fosse, Chicago’s sexy, sassy score includes ‘All That Jazz’ and the iconic ‘Razzle Dazzle’.
With six Tony, two Olivier, one Grammy, two Bafta and six Academy Awards, Chicago is promoted as the sharpest, slickest show on the block.
The show runs until Saturday, 20th October, and tickets starting at £17.75. They can be purchased online at www.goh.co.uk, via telephone on 028 9024 1919 or in person at the box office located in the theatre foyer.
