Charity coffee morning for Alzheimer’s

ULSTER Unionist politicians Jo-Anne Dobson MLA and Councillor Joan Baird have commended the organisers of the Alzheimer’s Coffee Morning which took place recently in Seapatrick to raise funds for the work of this important charity.

Speaking after the coffee morning Mrs Dobson said: “The work of the Alzheimer’s Society is extremely important in raising awareness of the disease and also helping people who suffer as a result.

“The Society is the leading care and research charity in the United Kingdom for people with this disease and other dementias and it provides dedicated support and advice to them, their families and carers.

“I would commend the organisers of the coffee morning including Kenny McCahon and his team who put in so much preparation to get everything ready. Their hard work has certainly paid off as people learned more about the work of the Society and also raised much needed funds for their on-going work.”
