Caldwell was detected travelling at 99mph in the 60mph zone. Because of her speed she could not be issued with a fixed penalty notice.

A solicitor representing the defendant said she was due to be in Lisburn at 9.30am.

She added that her client understood the difficulty she was in but she required her licence which was part and parcel of her job.
